In this entry, I want to share about this Web 2.0 tools that completely free-no software downloads, no payment needed, no special device or browser needed. The tools that I'm talking about is Google Docs. Google Docs is part of a wide online application kit provided by and related to Google. The other main tools included in the Google Office Suite are Sheets and Slides. By using various fonts and different file formats, Google Docs allow its users to import, create, modify and update documents on the go. Its even allows the users to share the documents online with a group of people and access them from any mobile devices, tablets or computer with a web browser and internet connection. It's works for both online and offline, so you can install the apps on your computer or used it on the web browser. Google Docs is an easy apps to use and all you need to start using it is a Google Account. For those people who don't have Google Account also can view or edit the documents shared with them.

Google Docs is filled with features that are useful. Here are some tools that will help you get more out of the free word-processing software from Google. The first one is voice typing tool. Voice technology system is growing rapidly in this industry, and Google has been at the forefront of this trend.  By using voice typing on Google Docs, you can speed up the writing process with talking only. You can also use voice typing on Google Docs to edit and format text. In the spaces below, I include a video on how to use the voice typing tool.

A clean interface and unique functionality for users are included in the cloud-based tool, such as the ability to function, share and collaborate from anywhere. The platform also syncs and saves all of your work automatically, so you don't even need to think about pressing save. All of your work is stored in the Cloud with Google Docs. Since documents are stored online and can also be stored on the computers of users, as a consequence of a localized disaster, there is no chance of complete data loss. That means you're not going to lose all your hard work-even if the laptop corrupt. Google Docs enables multiple people to work, communicate, and edit from any web browser in real time within a single document. Individuals can share their document with as many parties as they choose, and change their permissions to restrict what they can do. You also have the option to share the documents using an email address. This will submit an invite to the inbox of that person and add the document to their Google account. By generating a shareable link is the easiest way to share a Google Docs page. This enables anyone to click and display your document with a unique URL. The URL will then be copied to your clipboard to be forwarded to anyone who wants the document to be accessed. This is the one of the best features that Google Docs has. It will let people to either view or edits the documents. So, instead of sending a file back and forth, editing and feedback can be done all at once, as if you were all are working in same time on the same screen.

An advantage of using Google Docs is that even when you're not linked to the internet, you still can edit, save and create documents from your web browser. If you need to get some work done while out of the office, this could come in handy. They will sync to the changes you make when you go back online and your work still saved. When you share documents with others, if you are not present, it's hard to keep track of all the little changes that happen. There's revision precedent for that. Google Docs keeps track of and groups all the changes that take place in a document into sections, keeping the clutter down. With a few of mouse clicks, you can also restore a file to any of the previous versions mentioned in the history. Using Google Docs, the benefit for students is that if portable devices such as smart phones or laptops and tablets are used, they can start their assignments in the classroom and continue at home or anywhere. As for instructor, you can review your students job on the go, you can easily inform any adjustments they make.

Google Docs gives you the opportunity to share your work, anytime and anywhere you want, with as many people as you like, that make it such a fantastic collaboration team tool. By automatically saving any updates of your document to the Cloud, it also keeps your life easy, which means no more worry about losing your work. Finally, whether or not you have the internet, you can work on your documents from anywhere.
